He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Convenient access to Seattle via Kingston or Bainbridge ferries, including the fast ferry from Kingston. Nicely located at the north end of the Kitsap Peninsula, with proximity to the Olympic Peninsula. Downtown Poulsbo is under 15 minutes away. Located just over a mile south of the iconic Hood Canal floating bridge.

Once tucked back into the woods, this newly improved 1920s cabin now enjoys a front-row seat to the grandeur of the Hood Canal thanks to a tidal creek that has washed away the sandy soil that once supported the departed trees. My husband and I are retired and have a wonderful house on Gamble Bay about 2 miles outside port gamble. We have been renting out the lower level on airbnb for years and love sharing out space. Now we will also be renting the upper part of the house. Upper unit is a 2000 sq ft, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, full kitchen living room, exercise equipment and lovely porch looking over the bay.

At the foot of our path down the bluff, you'll find our beach-front cabin, a magical spot on Maxwelton Beach. Useless Bay is so shallow that at low tide you can walk for miles along the tidal flats.
