We are located less than 10 miles to Carlisle and a short drive to the M6 a gateway to Scotland, the lake district and Northumberland. Tweed mill dates back to the 1800's. It was originally an outbuilding to the Tweed Mill.

Beautiful handcrafted and fully lined with wood burner and oil fired heater. stylish, romantic and well equipped space with it's own en suite. Comfy bed bedding and towels provided. Sitting in the most stunning totally unspoiled and hidden countryside on a 3 acre sight with a small lake and boat ( think Swallows and Amazons in miniature ). 2 very cheeky resident red deer nearby prove popular with all guests. Eden valley and Hadrian’s Wall on the door step, North Lakes 40 drive. Great pubs!.

WINDY HALL - Secluded luxury with stunning views

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

An ‘Amazing Spaces’ inspired shipping container conversion, set in a peaceful secluded wildlife friendly garden, at the foot of the Pennine hills. The container is a 5 minute walk from the picturesque Talkin village which has a friendly pub serving food. A woodburning stove (logs supplied) ensures the container stays cosy in all weathers. It makes an excellent base to explore Hadrian's Wall, the North Lakes and the Eden Valley.. or a perfect stop off point on your way to or from Scotland.

Upstairs there is a king-size en-suite bedroom, a twin-bedded bedroom and a family shower room. On the upper floor is a beamed, double bedroom. We provide towels and cotton bed linen to give a luxury stay. The kitchen is well equipped. At the back is a patio, small garden and parking for one vehicle.
