Dogwood Cabin on Scenic Wooded Mossbridge Farm

Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise.

Relax at this unique getaway. The original Montalba Post Office has been updated to keep its history and share rustic charm while having modern upgrades. Wake up with a cup of coffee on 1 of 3 porches and plan a quiet evening with the stars by the fire pit. The house has a king bed in the master with attached bath, a secondary bedroom with 2 queens, an additional hall bath and queen sleeper sofa in the living room. It sits on a stocked pond with a fishing pier. You will have access to fish and relax at our catch and release pond. The outdoor space also includes a patio with gas grill, large front porch overlooking the pond, covered back porch overlooking woods and a fire pit.

Beautiful view of spring fed beautiful Lake Athens from the front porch. A little slice of paradise to relax and enjoy. Watch the abundent deer stroll through this scenic quiet neighborhood. At the end of the street is the marina which hosts fabulous dining and boat ramp or walk to the Texas Parks Freshwater Fishery for a tour and fishing. Wifi and cable TV now available. Only 90 minutes from the DFW metroplex. Come relax and enjoy the beauty of East Texas. So much to see.

Twin Oaks Ranch

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Fishing is permitted in the ponds. The ponds are stocked with a dock. Enjoy a walk through the forest trails. Clean and newly renovated guest house. A fully equipped kitchen is provided with all the necessary utensils. The bedroom has a king-size bed. Two couches can be pulled out to create two additional beds. We welcome dogs. There is a fenced yard for dogs and a doggy door. 15 minutes to town. There is no fire pit or grill.
