Sheepherder Wagon #2 at Blakesley Creek FarmThis is a working sheep farm. Expect to see & hear the sheep, chickens & dogs throughout your stay. This wagon has been outfitted for guests with heat and bedding. Sheepherder's Wagons are still used in some parts of the country to take into the mountains as a living space for the summer sheepherders who are hired to manage 1000 or more sheep in summer mountain pastures.

Scenic cabin with a creek viewWe are located 2 miles from the entrance to the Mary's Peak recreation area, the highest spot in the coast range. During winter, there is usually access to snow, only a 15 minutes drive from our cabin to the top of Mary's Peak! There are many miles of trails, ranging from easy to difficult. The coastal town of Waldport is a 45 minutes drive, Oregon State University is a 20 minute drive away, and University of Oregon is 1 hour south of us. Cabin is on our private property where we live as well.
