Miller’s Rest is a self-contained one bedroom cottage with private parking and 2miles from Orton, 5 miles from Shap. The cottage is peaceful with plenty of space and all modern amenities. The bespoke kitchen is well equipped, living room has a log burner effect electric fire for those colder nights. The bedroom has an ensuite shower room and large wardrobe. There is a small stream running alongside the garden lovely for sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine, relaxing and watching the birds.

Designed for comfort and convenience, our space features a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed Starlink WiFi, an EV charge point, and luxurious Simba memory foam beds. Unwind in the roll-top copper bathtub, elegantly set upon a mezzanine platform. We are located in a peaceful village, so ask guests to be mindful of noise. We are not suitable for loud parties or celebrations.

Weavers Cottage is a detached 17th century stone built barn at the head of the Ullswater valley in the central Lakes. The views are stunning with panoramic views of lakeland fells and over Brotherswater. The place is pet friendly and perfect for guests who love the outdoors. Classic walks straight from the door and secure storage available for mountain bikes and canoes. After a day in the fells, toast your toes by the wood burning stove or enjoy the sunshine in the private south facing garden.

The cabin sits close to and above the river Eden, with stunning views and the chance to have total time out to relax or explore. Transport is easy, 5 minutes from jct 40 at Penrith, on the A686. 1.5 hours from Newcastle and a 10 min walk from the Carlisle/Settle/Leeds station line.

In the other direction, Pooley Bridge is more populated and offers diversions such as hiring a rowing boat or travelling up the Lake on a steamer.
