We are 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway which offers numerous spots for hiking, scenic views, or just a good road to take a drive on. Don’t get duped into booking a home way off the beaten path when are located off of a main thoroughfare and have a flat driveway!

Helene update: the farm is undamaged and roads leading to it are passable. This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.
