Ryders Retreat offers a modern, cosy base from which to enjoy all that Westgate on Sea offers. As if the beautiful beaches (just 200 steps away) and many restaurants weren’t enough, there’s the selection of independent shops in town, the Carlton cinema and Westgate golf course all within 5 minutes walk. Enjoy the prom walk through to Margate or catch the train to easily explore the other towns in Thanet. Remember to head to West Bay for the absolutely stunning sunset before a great nights sleep!

Situated between the medieval town of Sandwich and seaside coast of Deal within a 10 minute drive each way. Canterbury just 20 minutes further, there is plenty to see whilst away.

Our beach apartment is in a beautiful converted Victorian period house, with it's own private balcony, less than 5 mins walk from Minnis Bay Beach. Birchington Station (10 mins walk) provides good links to London and nearby coastal retreats. There is a parade of shops with a convenience store, fish and chips, cafe and micro pub 2 mins away. The Minnis Bay Brasserie is a 5 min walk away along the promenade. There are great routes for walking/running/cycling in all directions.

Victorian apartment with a beautiful sea view towards the famed Turner Contemporary. Look out to sea through the porthole window as you start the day with a coffee from the Nespresso machine. Then head out on a short walk round the bay into the vibrant Old Town to explore the antique shops, galleries and cafés.
