The location is brilliant, overlooking Acacia Bay’s popular swimming and kayaking bay. Walk to the water in two minutes. The boat ramp is a short two min drive and we are seven minutes by car to Taupo township. The perfect spot for your next break. The views are amazing! A special Kiwi experience!

Forget your worries in this spacious & serene space. Redwood Lake house has been established for the McMillan family to have time out from the busy world, a place to loose ourselves for a few days of R & R. We the family wish to share this piece of paradise with its unique setting with the wider world. You could choose to leave social media & the like at home. We have games, walks, kayaks for the lake (2 minutes walk). Time to just sit & read in the sun, inside or out. Enjoy. Relax. Refresh

Peace and Tranquility Close to Town

We invite you to stay in our spacious four-bedroom home, on a sunny and private one acre section, with great outdoor entertaining and barbecue areas just a ten minute drive from Taupo. Bedrooms 1-3 each have queen size-beds, while bedroom 4 has a king-size bed and king single with a single trundler bed beneath. A roll-away bed and port-a-cot (crib) are available on request. Free WIFI and Sky sports channels, and an excellent sound bar for music which can be connected to via Bluetooth.

We hope you will enjoy this newly renovated 2 bedroom house. Open Plan living with restored native timber floors. 2 queen sized rooms. Large bathroom. Cozy Lounge. Lake & Mountain views. 10 min stroll down hill to the lake/2 mile bay. 5 minute walk to local dairy/shop. 7 minute drive to centre to main town centre. Max guests is 4 including children & infants. Sorry - airbnb settings do not allow us to specify this in guest number settings, they only let us exclude children completely.

Dreamy sunsets over Lake Taupo & Ruapehu

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

The cottage is modern, comfortable & well equipped - full oven/hobs, fr/fr, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, fibre i/net, iron/board, hairdryer, Washing Machine with laundry pwd, & drier all inc'ed. 7km to Taupo town - close enough to visit town but away from the bustle. Uber or taxi available if you do not have a vehicle.

New concrete car park and another car port with shed, plenty of car parking for boat, van and trailers in front of the house.

The DECKHOUSE

Nestled in the heart of Acacia Bay, this all day, sun filled house is the place to stay. Relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and spectacular views of lake Taupo. Open plan Kitchen dining/ lounge with heat pump/ air conditioner. Two minute walk to the lake, bush walks, Tennis courts playgrounds and popular swimming bays in Acacia Bay. Kayak hire just down the road! Local dairy and Restaurant are only a short 2 minute drive and 8 minute drive to Taupo Town. Enjoy your stay!

Lake front Bach in Acacia Bay

Relax and unwind with amazing views from a large deck, lake front in Acacia Bay. This 1970's bach has a lot to offer the family with Tui's in the native bush, relaxing deck chairs, a trampoline, Stand up Paddleboard and kayaks. The bach has 2 bedrooms upstairs (one with a double bed and the other with 2 sets of bunks). There is a bedroom with a queen bed downstairs. In the lounge downstairs is another set of bunks. There are local shops and a local cafe, or travel 5km to Taupo.
